Amigurumi pronounced (ah-mee-guh-roo-mee) is the Japanese art of knitting or crocheting small stuffed animals and imaginative creatures. A few months ago a group I belong to had a sale's promotion called 'Kawaii'. Kawaii means cute in Japanese and since these little amigurumi creations are very cute, they were included in the promotion.
I have been getting many inquiries about amigurumi ever since I first posted about it. So I decided to try my hand at creating some of these little guys. . .
My first creation was this absolutely adorable ladybug. Now, who does not love ladybugs-she is so cute.
Then I made this little rooster-just right as Easter quickly approaches.
Then I was swayed by a couple of mice. First this little one sitting down with pink nose and inner ears.
Next I made this big guy-he is really only 4" tall but he looks big next to the other ones. He is a mouse with a personality.
Making these little creatures is addictive and I am having a hard time putting the crochet hook down to work on anything else. All of the patterns I used are free on the internet. Stay tuned for my next creations!!!
Most of the designs I blog about are custom creations-if you see something you like or I can help you with a custom creation please contact me here.
Sharing my love for God, grub, girly things and sometimes guns with whoever will listen.
