I have spent this week making more items for my Walnut Grove Collection. I finished 4 pinafores, 3 bonnets, 3 dresses, and a camisole so I definitely had Little House and Laura Ingalls on my mind.
I decided to do a Google search of fun sites relating to this pioneer family. I found some really neat items. . .
First I went to Wikipedia and they give a brief synopsis of Laura, her family and their travels.
I did not know they had traveled around so much. Laura and Almonzo (Laura's real life husband) even spent time in Florida.
There is a Wilder Museum in Walnut Grove, MN. The museum has items from the tv series as well as actual family heirlooms.
A lot of people are really interested in Laura Ingalls and have developed websites dedicated to keeping the Little House memories alive. This site has lots of great information and activities.
Many homeschoolers use the Little House books to develop unit studies for English, Literature, History and Spelling. There are many sites with unit study information for use in the homeschool classroom. Here are some that looked interesting:

I just love Little House-I watch it everyday and I read and re-read the books. I am a definite fan.
