Childhood Wisdom
For weeks, a six-year old lad kept telling his teacher about the baby
brother or sister that was expected at his house. One day his mother
allowed him to feel the movements of the unborn child.
The six-year old was obviously impressed, but made no comment. Furthermore, he stopped
telling his teacher about the impending event.
The teacher finally sat the boy on her lap and said, "Tommy, whatever
has become of that baby brother or sister you were expecting at home?"
Tommy burst into tears and cried, "I think Mommy ate it!"
A little boy watched, fascinated, as his mother gently rubbed cold cream
on her face.
"Why are you rubbing cold cream on you face, mommy?" he asked.
"To make myself beautiful," said his mother.
A few minutes later, she began removing the cream with a tissue.
"What's the matter?" he asked. "Are you giving up?"
A three-year-old boy went with his father to see a litter of
kittens. On returning home, he breathlessly informed his mother that
there were two boy kitties and two girl kitties.
"How do you know?" his mother asked.
"Daddy picked them up and looked," he replied, "I think it's printed on
the bottom."
