Andy Rooney's Humor
On Prisoners: Did you know that it costs forty-thousand dollars a year to house each prisoner?
Jeez, for forty-thousand bucks apiece. I'll take a few prisoners into my house. I live in Los Angeles. I already have bars on the windows.
I don't think we should give free room and board to criminals. I think they should have to run twelve hours a day on a treadmill and generate electricity. And if they don't want to run, they can rest in the chair that's hooked up to the generator.
On Fabric Softeners: My wife uses fabric softener. I never knew what that stuff was for. Then I noticed women coming up to me, sniffing, then saying under their breath, "Married!" and walking away. Fabric softeners are how our wives mark their territory. We can take off the ring, but it's hard to get that April fresh scent out of your clothes.
Sharing my love for God, grub, girly things and sometimes guns with whoever will listen.

Yard Art in Towner, ND
As we drove this small town in North Dakota,
we saw this adorable house decorated in cowboy style.
Covered wagon and horses on the side and cowboy and horse on the fence.
This cowboy is riding his horse.
A cowgirl
A windmill
Horses decorating the garages
A really adorable sight.
There was a lot of yard art in Wisconsin and we haven't seen as much since we arrived in North Dakota so this was a real treat.

Pioneer Village Rugby, ND Part 7
The last few buildings in this village are full of antique cars and farm equipment. These buildings were very interesting.
Early bicycles
The petrol pump
Assorted old carriages and cars
This is an Edsel. So few were made that I had never seen one before.
An early conveyance
Plows
Steam engine with this pulley it operates lots of different machines.
Tractors
Gasoline engines
Potato planter
Bringing fuel to the farms
Corn Grader
A combine, I think??
No display of farm equipment would be complete without John Deere.
The pioneer village was lots of fun. I hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.

Pioneer Village Rugby, ND Part 7
This building was so much fun. It is just full of historical memorabilia.
The apothecary
Nursing Uniforms
The Dentist
The surgery unit
The General Store
This is where you could purchase just about anything.
It even included the post office many times.
The Bank
The safe
The Telephone Company
The switchboards
We had never seen a phone like this, so I had to share.
The Barber Shop
The barber shop was also available for a nice warm bath.
The men could relax in these nice bathtubs.
There are only 2 buildings left and they were full of antique cars, trucks and farm equipment. I will finish up our trip next time with these photos.
